Baby Food Jar Turkey

Today we look on the internet for a fun turkey craft to make. We find a cute turkey using a baby food jar, glue, construction paper for feathers, eyes, and filled with candy.  The supplies are all available without going to the store.

We are choosing to add a “crimper” in to the supplies so the turkey feathers will have a dimensional look and the children are excited about using the crimper! Each feather is unique in the decoration also.

Even though each person had similar supplies, notice how all three turn out unique. One boy wants his turkey’s feathers  the same color as a local football team. Another boy only wants one eye while the third boy wants 2 eyes but different sizes. Each boy chooses how to make his turkey.

I want to share this fun  little craft even though the children involved are older than preschoolers or toddlers. I love how each turkey is unique!

A little laugh – What kind of music did Pilgrims listen to? Plymouth Rock!
